Round 7 of the Queensland Government's Small Business Digital Grants Program opens soon. Are you ready to submit your application?

Matched funding of up to $10,000 (excluding GST) may be provided to eligible businesses for the purchase of hardware, software and services (such as digital coaching). The business must show how the digital technology or service purchased and adopted will enhance the digital capabilities of their business, and help them to be more competitive and employ more staff.

The digital technology or service must fall under one of four identified priority areas:

1. receiving payments or selling online
2. digital planning, digital marketing strategy development, and digital training
3. specialised digital technology and/or business specific software
4. content development (web pages, mobile apps, visual and audio media etc.) 

Round 7 applications for the Small Business Digital Grant Program are accepted from the 11th November - 10th December 2019. Keep an eye on the official government website here to learn more:

The things I've learnt along the way in assisting clients apply for this funding:

• Get ready early (set a reminder in your diary for the 11th November 2019)
• Be clear about what project you want to embark on (don't just invent something for the grant)
• Be clear about the revenue growth you want to achieve as a return on investment for this project 
• Go for it! 100% of those who didn't apply, didn't get the funding - funny that!
