Capability Statements are generally used by organisations wanting to do business with other businesses, this is often called business to business marketing or B2B marketing. In my experience, those organisations that have a great capability statement and a great website are those who out perform organisations that do not. Of course, it is not as simple as getting a capability statement and a website and Bob's your Uncle. However, I can say that of those organisations I am in contact with, those who are being awarded contracts through competitive tender and expression of interest processes are those with professional capability statements and websites. Step one is getting a professional capability statement and website and step two is maintaining them. Both need to be constantly refreshed with recent projects and up to date information.
