So it turns out Queen Elizabeth and I are in Windsor - together. Well not technically together, we are separated by a castle wall. But we are together in the sense that we are in the same county, in the same country, at the same time. Although, she has a flag to let everyone know she's here. I don't have one of those. I do however have my giant red suitcase that I've been lugging around the the English countryside. Mental note - next time pack less, far less.
So whilst Queen Elizabeth puts out her flag to let us all know she's here, and I unpack my fascinator in preparation for Royal Ascot 2019, I am literally pinching myself just to check this is real. It is real, I've checked my tickets, I've checked in at numerous hotels and guest houses over the past 3 weeks whilst I've balanced a bit of sightseeing with a wonderful conference and some exciting work with one of my clients. That's right - one of my clients who has a presence in Townsville and Brisbane is doing great things over here in England and I'm super excited to be along for the ride! As I sit here typing, I am full of gratitude. Thank you to World Business Forum - the conference was AMAZING and worth the very long flight from Brisbane to London. Thank you to EMU Sportswear for trusting me to help you build your global brand - I just love seeing Queenslanders do AMAZING things! Thank you to my clients who have patiently worked with me juggling the time zone difference. And last but not least thank you to my gorgeous husband. When we got married he promised me he'd cheer me on through the tough times and the great times. And he does that every day. He is my everything. My business partner, my husband, my best mate, the father to my two beautiful children, awesome uncle to our nieces and nephews, my fellow Queensland supporter who texted me play by play updates of State of Origin 1 whilst I was in the conference in London. Thank you for all that you do, especially supporting me to make this trip a reality. My cup is full and I'm coming home. I can't wait to feel your arms of strength around me once more. But first, I have a date with Queen Lizzy. I'll tell her you said hi! Comments are closed.
