Small Business Grants

There is a $10K - $20K small business grant about to open called the Business Boost Grants program. Funded by the Queensland Government, this grant is designed to assist small businesses to enhance their efficiency and productivity. ​

The grant includes funding in 3 major project areas:

1. Future planning
2. Specialised and automated software
3. Planning and system for staff management and development

To be eligible for this grant, small businesses must:

• have between 2 and 19 employees 
• have an active (ABN) and be registered for GST
• have Queensland headquarters
• be established and financially sound, experiencing growth and with a minimum turnover of $300,000 in the last financial year (2022–23)
• have a publicly accessible web presence to identify business operations (e.g. business website and/or social media pages)
• not have been approved for funding under Round 1 or 2 of the Business Boost grant program
• not be insolvent or have owners/directors that are an undischarged bankrupt
• be able to match the grant funding (at least 50%)

Of course, there are terms and conditions to read through and the devil is always in the detail, however if this sounds like it might suit you, it is worth investigating further.

It opens on the 6th September 2023 and closes on 12 September 2023. It is competitive, meaning not every application will be funded.
