Benjamin Franklin had the right idea when he famously stated, ‘by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail’. We love a good plan. In fact, we firmly believe that doing without planning is like building a house without drawings; even with good tradespeople you will end up with some sort of structure, but it won't be as impressive or efficient as it could be. Strategic planning sessions are a great way to not only plan for the future, but also create alignment within your team.
When preparing for your next strategic planning session, you might like to have a think about the following:
Once you have a plan, whether you have engaged a professional marketing consultant to facilitate the process, or have prepared one yourself, you need to get the tasks into action. The most powerful and important part of the planning process, (in our humble opinion) is moving from planning phase into implementation phase. A very clever plan that remains on paper on a shelf, un-actioned will only ever be expensive pieces of paper. A plan that is actioned (even if it is a simpler, more basic plan) will win every time. Happy planning and happy implementation! #gsd That's hashtag get stuff done. Comments are closed.
